TWO people have been arrested over the death of a baby.
The infant was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury a week ago with injuries and pronounced dead at Oxford's John Radcliffe today, police said.
A man and a woman were arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
Thames Vallley Police is refusing to release any other information about the couple or the age of the baby, claiming identification issues.
Police also have not said what type of injuries the baby was suffering from, the sex of the child, where he or she lived or the relationship of the arrested pair to the infant.
All they are saying is that the death is "unexplained".
Det Ch Insp Joe Kidman said: “We are in the early stages of a detailed investigation to establish how this child died.”
