STUDENT hairdressers are inviting members of the public to come and get their locks trimmed and styled.
Budding stylists at Abingdon and Witney College are now taking paying customers at their Witney campus.
Charlene Kibble, 27, one of 35 Students on the recently launched NVQ diploma course, welcomed the move to open the college salon to the public.
She said: “It gives us such a lot of confidence. The course is not just about hairdressing, it’s about customer service as well.”
Students also take it in turns to run the salon.
A cut and blow-dry costs £8, a full hair colouring costs £16 and highlights cost £20.
The students will be moving their salon to new facilities when work finishes on a £7.5m revamp of the campus.
