BRIZE NORTON: Foxbury Farm Shop’s Old Spot Banger has been awarded Gold at the Three Counties Sausage and Pie Competition.
Made by 19-year-old butchery apprentice Edward McInroy, the judges awarded the sausages 98 per cent meaning he overcame stiff competition from rivals across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.
The Foxbury butchery team also entered their Gloucester Old Spot Pork and Apple Sausage which earned a silver award.
Farmer and owner Colin Dawes said: “I am ever so proud of the butchery team and it is a fantastic experience for Ed. This award could not have come at a better time as we celebrate one year in the new farm shop building.”
