A STREET drinker denied breaching his antisocial behaviour order (Asbo) less than four weeks after he was handed the order.
Leslie Belcher, 49, above, of Magdalen Road, East Oxford, was handed the Asbo order at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 15.
The order meant he was not allowed to drink or possess alcohol in public anywhere within Oxford ring road.
He is also prevented from congregating with people in his street or front garden and from using threatening or intimidating language and behaviour.
On Sunday, Belcher was allegedly seen congregating with groups of people in Magdalen Road, who were drinking and being noisy.
He was arrested and charged on Tuesday, pleading not guilty to the offence at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The court remanded him in custody for a further hearing at the same court on Thursday, November 18.
