OXFORDSHIRE businessman Alan Tilley, 67, was named turnaround practitioner of the year at the insolvencynews Insolvency and Rescue Awards.
Mr Tilley, from Warborough, is principal of turnaround and restructuring specialists Bryan, Mansell & Tilley.
The prize was for his work with £1.2bn Spanish petrochemicals giant La Seda. In 2008, he received the TMA international chairman’s award for outstanding contribution to the development of turnaround management in Europe.
He is the first non-American to become vice-president of international relations for the Turnaround Management Association.
