A 31-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the public toilets in Cowley Road this morning.

Forensic officers gathered evidence into the attack behind a large police cordon set up outside the toilets next to Manzil Way Gardens.

Blood was visible on the pavement in front of the building.

The incident happened at around 8.45am this morning.

Police believe the victim knew his attacker.

Spokesman Pierre Dubois said the man had been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Detective Inspector Nick Deacon said: “We believe this was not a random attack and the suspect and victim knew each other.”
