PEOPLE convicted of offences at magistrates' courts recently: Akhtar Dogar, 29, of Tawney Street, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on September 2. Fined £80, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Keith Price, 57, of London Road, Wheatley, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Wheatley, on September 6. Namely having 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £180, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 15 months.

Simon Talbot, 21, of Liddell Road, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on September 10. Fined £120, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Grant Desouza, 36, of Alpha Avenue, Garsington, admitted driving without a licence, failing to stop when required by a Pc, driving without a seatbelt, and driving without insurance in Blackbird Leys Road, Oxford, on August 26. Fined £200, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

Michael Dando, 27, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Oxpens Road, Oxford, on September 10. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs.

Kenneth Landon, 61, of no fixed address, admitted being a driver failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Oxford on September 11. Fined £50, £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

Hollywood Wilkie, 25, of Gratrix Street, Manchester, convicted of driving without insurance in Garsington Road, Oxford, on November 23. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail on September 9. Fined £350, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Magistrates ordered no disqualification as it would have led to the defendant losing his job.

Durrell Lemonius, 19, of Mary Price Close, Marston, Oxford, admitted breach of licence of a short-term prisoner by failing to report for supervision on August 26 and September 3, 7 and 10. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Joao Fernandes, 44, of Stone Meadow, Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating on August 29 and 31. Given a two-year conditional discharge, a restraining order and told to pay £80 costs.

Michael Cunningham, 39, of Glenham Road, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Vane Road and Glenham Road, Thame, on September 3. Namely having 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Fined £600, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Michael Gallagher, 29, of Millers Acre, Oxford, admitted theft from a motor vehicle of a handbag and contents valued at £785 in Oxford on April 16. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Original offences resentenced. Given 12 weeks’ jail, suspended for a year.

Graham Collier, 48, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a Pc and being drunk and disorderly in Jackson Road, Oxford, on September 20, and committing a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Jailed for 28 days.

Neil Hemmings, 48, of Common Road, Langley, Berkshire, admitted theft of a pair of sunglasses from Boots in Oxford on June 17. Fined £50 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Kyle Smith, 18, of Landsdown Avenue, Slough, admitted theft from a meter or automatic machine of £371.50 in tokens from Bowlplex in Grenoble Road, Oxford, on June 28. Also admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) on July 15 and 18. Given 12 months’ supervision and told to do 200 hours’ unpaid work and pay £50 costs.

Ryan McCann, 20, of Hardings Strings, Didcot, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Didcot on December 23 and commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended prison sentence. Also convicted of failing to comply with the community requirements of a suspended sentence. Jailed for 23 weeks and told to pay £500 compensation.

Kelly Payne, 27, of Penlon Place, Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in Oxford Road, Abingdon, on August 4. Namely having 167 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

James Screeton, 22, of Willes Close, Faringdon, admitted possession of 223 milligrams of cocaine (Class A) in Longworth on July 18. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

Sam Walker, 21, of Haddon Close, Sires Hill, North Moreton, admitted fraud by false representation between February 28 and March 2 by saying he would send a Seat Leon big brake kit through the post in return for a bank transfer, to make a gain of £520. Also admitted fraud by false representation between January 4 and January 13 by saying he would send an iPhone through the post in return for a payment through PayPal, to make a gain of £545. Given 160 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay 1,065 compensation and £85 costs.
