Oxford archer Nichola Simpson helped England to win a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi today.
Simpson, from Marston, Nicky Hunt and Danielle Brown won gold in the women's team compound event, beating Canada 232-229 in the final.
They were one point behind after two of the four ends but world No 1 Hunt's final arrow clinched victory at the Yamuna Sports Complex.
The trio are the first English archers to win gold medals at a Commonwealth Games for 28 years.
It made up for Simpson's disappointment individual competition when she lost in the first knock-out round.
Meanwhile Oxford City's Hannah England qualified for tomorrow'1 1500m final when she finish fourth in the semi final in 4mins 13.91secs
