BURGLARS broke into five businesses in Kidlington and stole cash and a computer, causing large amounts of damage.
The first burglary happened over night between Saturday and Sunday when thieves broke into the Kidlington Recreational Trust Social Club in Yarnton Lane and stole cash from the till.
Between 5pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday, the Benchmark shop in The Parade, near Oxford Road, was raided and a Dell computer stolen.
The same evening Sunray Blinds and the Hair Gallery, also in The Parade, were hit. The gang stole a small amount of cash from Sunray Blinds, but could not get into the hair salon.
The last burglary in the series happened at about 4.30am on Tuesday when the Kidlington Recreational Trust Social Club was targeted again. Nothing was stolen.
Pc Keith Devonish appealed for anyone with information about the burglaries to contact him. He added: “While not a lot has been taken in any of the incidents, the burglars have caused a lot of damage trying to get into the various premises.
“The neighbourhood team is aware of what is going on and extra patrols will be put in place to reassure the local community.”
Anyone with information should contact Pc Devonish on 08458 505505 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.
