GUIDE Dogs for the Blind organisers are celebrating the arrival of 12 puppies, all of which will grow up to become companions for blind and partially sighted people.
Their mum, Labrador cross retriever Odelle, has been looked after during her pregnancy by Denise MacRae, from Over Norton, near Chipping Norton.
She said: “She’s only just two, but she’s looked after them all really well and she’s fed them all, which isn’t easy with 12 of them.”
The eight males and four females’ father was a black labrador, so seven of the puppies turned out black and five have golden coats.
Ms Burls said she had “very high hopes” for the dogs.
She added: “They have had a brilliant start, and the family are very committed and have provided everything they need.”
The charity is looking for volunteers to take on brood bitches.
