Saints started slowly and took time to organise. The first goal came around the 10 minute mark, the ball pinging backwards and forwards in the area until Elias Djuiai headed in. After that, honours were more or less even leading up to half-time, but Harwell certainly looked the more dangerous side and took control with a second goal from Callum Rowe.
Saints came out in the second half and started to impose themselves again, with Cameron Homer and Arthur Galley holding the ball up well and bringing their team-mates into the game. Now it was wave after wave of attacks. Saints got back into the game, as Joshua Josephs capitalised on a defensive mistake and finished positively.
Harwell and Hendred were able to break on occasions and a stinging shot inside the area brought a fantastic save from George Richards, tipping the ball over the bar with his fingertips. The last five minutes were all Marston, but all to no avail as the whistle blew for a 2-1 win to Harwell and Hendred.
Despite the conditions, both teams gave 100% and tried to play good football. Once again, good refereeing and excellent assistant refs also contributed to play.
