Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Witney where electrical items worth £25,000 were stolen.
Overnight between Saturday and Sunday, burglars smashed their way through the front door of a property in Bartlett Close and stole six amplifiers, a stereo, a CD multi-changer, speakers and three flat-screen TVs.
Det Sgt Dick White said: “I would urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and speak with police as soon as possible.
“Given the sheer amount of items stolen, the thieves would have had to use a large vehicle to take the stolen items away from the scene.
“If you live in the area and remember seeing someone carrying out lots of electrical items from a house, or perhaps you heard any unusual noises, then please come forward and speak to us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any electrical items like this for sale.”
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt White via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
