HARVEST time at this school was celebrated in style.
Children at Headington Junior School in Oxford in September 1973 turned it into an international festival.
They produced a tableau of the world’s resources, acted the parable of the sower and dressed in national costumes from around the world. The festival had to be held twice because the hall was only large enough to hold half the pupils.
Afterwards, produce the children had brought to the festival was sold in aid of Oxfam.
