IN THESE gloomy days of cut-backs and recessions, it is heart-warming to be able to see something which brings a smile to one’s face and a warm feeling of well-being.
I am referring to the refurbishment and new build at Cardinal House and Lambourne Road, Oxford. These projects will give the elderly and disabled a quality of life they so richly deserve.
It has been a co-ordinated effort by Oxford City Homes officers, councillors and tenants. They have used a local building firm who have a proven track record of customer care.
So, on behalf of all those people whose quality of life you will greatly improve, I would like to say a massive thank you to Oxford City Council and all those involved.
MALCOLM EVERTON, Mill Lane, Old Marston, Oxford
