A specially-commissioned work combining singing, music and poetry to celebrate the redoubling of the Cotswold Line railway route through Charlbury will be premiered tonight.
The piece, called Soundtracks, features the town’s community choir Voices Unlimited, children from Charlbury Primary School, Charlbury morris dancers and poet Joe Butler, and tells the story of the railway over the past 150 years.
There will be performances at the War Memorial Hall, in Brown’s Lane, tonight and tomorrow, at 7.30pm.
The project was organised by arts group Kismet and funded by a BBC performing arts grant.
