A MAN who used to live in Witney is trying to get back in contact with some of his old school chums from the 1960s.

Michael Mobey, 64, used to live in Well Lane, Curbridge, and attended the village primary school, before moving to Witney and attending Wood Green School, in Woodstock Road.

After he married he moved to Burnley for a job and lost contact with his old friends.

Mr Mobey, who is now retired, said: “I made contact with my eldest sister last September for the first time in 60 years, and that got me thinking that it would be nice to see if my old school chums were still around.”

He said if enough people contacted him he would look at organising a reunion.
