IT can’t be very long now before the new Vale of White Horse rubbish collection scheme comes into being.
I have recently seen all the new bins being delivered in many streets.
A friend told me that new deluxe buildings are to be erected behind the blocks of flats which are in Northcourt Road and Brookside, Abingdon, which will house communal bins for the use of all the people living in the flats.
This seems to be a good idea, as there will be no need for everyone to drag bins out to the roadside on collection days.
It was mentioned that there will also be a community garden, a car park and a playground in the same area. Things are looking up.
Perhaps this idea will spread to other areas which could benefit from the scheme.
