Pamela Webber is to be congratulated for her meaningful letter (Oxford Mail ViewPoints, September 17) regarding the public toilets situation in Oxford.
Might I suggest that the city council could perhaps sponsor a fleet of screened porta-loos mounted on pedal-powered rickshaws.
These could bear the logo “Stop me and go”. A nominal charge could be applied for these services – for example 2p “2p”.
There would of course be the problem of how to deal with the “remains of the day”.
I could myself make certain suggestions but shall refrain from doing so because I fear that it might offend some of those who are paid inflated salaries specifically to solve the problem of public toilets in Oxford.
