Luca Sykes out opposition as Kidlington triumph
Kidlington hot-shot Luca Sykes hit a hat-trick as his team maintained their 100% record with a hard-fought victory over hitherto unbeaten Chalgrove.
With defences generally on top in both games, the result hinged on which team could conjure up more bits of magic to score from distance. Fortunately for the home team, they had the edge in magicians, finding the net from outside the area 5 times over the 2 games.
Ben Stewart opened the scoring for Kidlington with a long range free-kick. Callum Rolfe got their second with a brilliant opportunist lob from distance, before Sam Burman's deflected shot made the final score in the first game 2-1.
Sykes won the second game for Kidlington with a trio of brilliant strikes from distance, Aston Chapman pulling one back for Chalgrove.
With Chalgrove enjoying the majority of possession, Kidlington were indebted to their back 4 over the 2 matches, with Will Baker, Abu Yillah, Benjamin Merrill and Archie Littlewood all having fine games.
