Another Oxfordshire-based soldier has been awarded one of the highest military honours today.
George Medal winner Staff Sergeant Karl Ley, of the Royal Logistic Corps, based at Didcot’s Vauxhall Barracks, deserves the ultimate respect.
He has dealt with more improvised explosive devices than any other solider in history.
It is a staggering achievement.
The work of the bomb disposal troops at Vauxhall never ceases to amaze.
Karl and his colleagues are true heroes.
