A man who dragged a stranger off the street and subjected her to a “humiliating” rape ordeal has this morning been jailed.

Yassin Mohamed attacked the 19-year-old student in East Oxford as she walked home from a night out at Lava Ignite in Park End Street.

The victim, who was walking alone, was forced into St Clement’s Churchyard at 3.20am on March 16 before being blindfolded and marched back to her attacker’s home in Aston Street, East Oxford.

After “a humiliating series of sexual acts” she was thrown out onto the street at about 6.20am in just a jacket and £300 was later taken from her bank account by 25-year-old Mohamed.

He admitted three counts of rape and one theft earlier this month and was jailed for nine years at Oxford Crown Court today.

Judge Julian Hall said the incident was “every woman’s worst nightmare”.
