Reading the Oxford Mail letters page on Tuesday, it would appear that Tony Augarde has upset Oxfordshire County Council Leader Keith Mitchell somewhat.
The named councillor suggests Tony should put-up or shut up.
I personally think if Tony was to get stand for election, and get elected, he could not do any worse than some already there.
Just because a person is a councillor, or gets a mention in the New Year’s Honours List, means nothing.
If councillors such as Mr Mitchell used as much energy sorting out the mess they’ve got us into instead of trying to score cheap political points against each other, we would all be in a better position.
So, I would advise Mr Mitchell and his colleagues to get on with the jobs they are paid in expenses to do.
They should forget their silly little games with the opposition, and think of the tax payers for a change. Keith Brooks, Gateley, Horspath
