We have all been to our fair share of boring weddings.

So, it’s nice to see one couple inject a bit of originality into their big day.

Mik Ashfield and Vikki Ludlow tied the knot at a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed ceremony at the weekend in Devon.

It certainly looked different and made for great pictures.

And they deserve it. The couple, who both work at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, are ardent fundraisers for cancer research.

Vikki was also diagnosed with cancer in May, but we are delighted to hear she is already on the road to recovery.
