Anne-Marie Fairhurst, 44, of Windmill Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on August 16, and commission of further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £35 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
Howard Russell, 56, of Langley Road, Abingdon, admitted breaching an antisocial behaviour order by being drunk in public in Abingdon on August 25. Given six months’ alcohol treatment.
Leanne Fletcher, 18, of Walton Road, Aylesbury, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and shoplifting two bottles of wine from Co-op in Cowley Road, Oxford, on February 16. Twelve-month conditional discharge.
Liam Phipps, 32, of Webbs Close, Wolvercote, admitted using words or behaviour to cause fear of unlawful violence, and attempted shoplifting of meat and smoked salmon valued at £131.89 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on August 25. Also admitted shoplifting handbags valued at £369 from Karen Millen in Oxford on August 3 and shoplifting food valued at £19 from Tesco in Oxford on August 10. Jailed for a total of 12 weeks.
Marc Porter, 33, of Cowley Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting spirits valued at £159.59 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on August 3; shoplifting toiletries valued at £29.13 from Co-op in Oxford on August 10; and shoplifting toiletries and washing powder valued at £60 from Co-op in Oxford on August 22. Given a 16-week prison term, suspended for 12 months. Also given 12 months’ supervision and a six-month drug-rehabilitation course.
Giedrius Astrauskas, 31, of Monega Road, London, convicted of driving while disqualified and without insurance in Cowley Road, Oxford, on October 21 2005. Given an absolute discharge.
Benjamin Curran, 38, of Castle Square, Benson, admitted criminal damage to a car window valued at £743.19 in Benson on December 12 and failing to surrender to bail on August 18. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £743.19 compensation and £100 costs.
Mohammed Khan, 38, of Parsons Place, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on March 9. Told to do 80 hours’ unpaid work and pay £300 compensation and £200 costs.
David Collier, 20, of Nuthatch Close, Oxford, admitted taking a motor vehicle without consent in Oxford on May 16. Told to do 200 hours’ unpaid work and pay £100 compensation.
Alistair Hunt, 43, of Brampton Close, Abingdon, admitted taking a motor vehicle without consent in Oxford on May 16. Fined £200, £100 compensation and £15 victims’ surcharge.
George Hunt, 18, of Brampton Close, Abingdon, admitted taking a motor vehicle without consent in Oxford on May 16. Told to participate in a Thinking Skills programme for 19 days and given 12 months’ supervision. Also told to pay £100 compensation.
Carl Derbyshire, 37, of Atkinson Close, Oxford, admitted theft of a handbag and contents in Oxford on July 26. Given a six-week curfew and 12 months’ supervision.
Othman el Ouarti, 30, of Marsh Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting toilet rolls and meat valued at £6.32 from Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford, on August 18. Four-week curfew.
Kimberley Petrie, 25, of Park End Street, Oxford, admitted possessing two wraps of crack cocaine (Class A) in Oxford on August 18. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
Saleem Younus, 52, of Grays Road, Headington, admitted selling alcohol to a person aged under 18, namely a 16-year-old girl, in Oxford on April 16. Fined £450, £15 victim’s surcharge and £85 costs.
Calvin Souch, 38, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted failing to attend a drug assessment following a test for a Class A drug. Fined £30 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
Nicholas Rayner, 46, of Bayswater Farm Road, Oxford, admitted assault by beating on May 9. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation and £150 costs.
Arron Eeley, 19, of Butler Close, Horspath, admitted assault by beating in Horspath on March 16. Also admitted failing to attend a drug assessment, four counts of possession of cannabis, two counts of failure to surrender to court bail, possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, and commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Original offence re-sentenced.
Magistrates gave Eeley 13 weeks’ youth detention, suspended for a year, because of the injury caused and due to the fact there was a history of the defendant threatening the aggrieved.
Magistrates added that the defendant has a “disregard of criminal sanctions”.
Eeley also told to do 60 hours’ unpaid work and given 12 months’ supervision.
