Archie saves points for Kidlington
Two smart saves from visiting keeper Archie Devlin thwarted a late Littlemore fightback to preserve all three points for Kidlington.
Kidlington won the first game 3-1, with only the impressive home keeper Tom Parker keeping the score down. Marcus Tranter opened the scoring with a brilliant back-post header from an excellent cross by midfield partner Ben Stewart. Callum Rolfe blasted the second into the top left hand corner after collecting a Stewart throw. The impressive Louis Sanchez-Wright pulled one back for Littlemore before Rolfe restored Kidlington's two goal lead, converting his own rebound after being put through by Tranter.
Littlemore took the lead in a see-saw second game with the first from the lively Tom Daepil. Ethan Couling equalised after good work by Abu Yillah and Luca Sykes. Daepil then put the home side 2-1 up before a fine finish by Sykes tied it up at 2-2. With Littlemore refusing to lie down, Taylor Turton made it 3-2 to the home side and 4-5 overall. Near the death Littlemore had chances to square up the tie, but Devlin came to the visitors' rescue twice to ensure Kidlington started the season with two victories.
