IT just shows how keeping active and having a little bit of what you fancy does you good.
The story of great-great-grandfather Harold Morris was heartwarming and a great testament to the occasional tipple (Oxford Mail, August 28).
Celebrating his 100th birthday he attributed his long life to Gold Label barley wine, and a good old singsong – a great recipe for a long life if ever I’ve heard one (maybe it should be available on the NHS via prescription).
Personally I like nothing more than to blast out Ned Miller’s classic, From A Jack To A King from time to time (it’s great for the soul). But if I can still do it at 100 years of age, like the impressive Harold Morris, then I’ll be a very happy man.
