Patricia Hobby
A town council by-election is to be held this week to fill the vacancy left by former Abingdon mayor Patricia Hobby, who died in July.
Conservative Peter Jones, Labour’s Bobbie Nichols, and Liberal Democrat Helen Pighills all hope to represent the Northcourt Ward.
Voting will take place on Thursday at All Saints’ Church, Appleford Drive.
A thanksgiving service in memory of Mrs Hobby will take place at 2.30pm on Friday, October 1, at St Helen’s Church.
