Police accident investigators want to speak to witnesses who saw a fatal collision near Burford in which an 18-year-old man died yesterday.
The crash happened when a blue Citroen C3 came off the B4020 Shilton Road, between Burford and Carterton just after 5.30pm, close to the Blue Cross Centre.
The vehicle collided with the verge before hitting a tree. The rear seat passenger of the car, an 18-year-old man from Carterton, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle and the front seat passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Police would like anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the Citroen prior to the incident, to contact Pc Sian Pringle of Bicester roads policing department on 08458 505505.
