Police today appealed for witnesses to a fatal collision near Burford yesterday.
A blue Citroen C3 was travelling along the B4020 Shilton Road, between Burford and Carterton, just after 5.30pm, when it came off the road close to the Blue Cross Centre.
Police said the car collided with the verge before hitting a tree. The rear seat passenger of the car, an 18-year-old man from Carterton, was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle and the front seat passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Police would like anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the Citroen prior to the incident to contact PC Sian Pringle of Bicester Roads Policing Department on 0845 8 505 505.
