SO TONY Blair has written a book...big deal! I wouldn’t read it.
How on Earth he had the cheek to write about Gordon Brown, I’ll never know. Blair’s biggest mistake was not giving the people of this country a say on the EU by allowing a referendum on the issue.
The reason he did not do that is because he knew the country would have voted against it.
Why is it that these politicians don’t want us to have a say on big issues which affect all our lives?
They live a different life to us. They will never know what it’s like not to be able to pay a gas, electric or water bill. They spend most of the time sat on their backsides, getting sixty-nine grand a year.
These people don’t live in the real world. That’s why they see things so differently to ordinary people with ordinary jobs, who struggle to survive.
All I can say is, it must be nice to have a debt-free life and never want for anything. They make me sick, the lot of them.
When I first voted, a chap asked who I was going to vote for. I said I didn’t know. He said: “Have you got plenty of money?” I said: “No!” He said: “Well, vote Labour, because if you’ve got lots of money and you vote Conservative, the chances are you will always have money. But if you vote Conservative and you haven’t got money, then you will never have any money.”
I have found that to be true.
I am now 70 and I can’t see that things will change now.
