THE annual St Giles' Fair returned to the centre of Oxford today.
St Giles itself is packed with rides, stalls and attractions, and thousands are expected to flock to the two-day autumn event.
Revellers can enjoy traditional funfair favourites including carousels, dodgems, waltzers and helter skelters and more up to date white knuckle rides will provide thrills for the adventurous fairgoer.
The blessing service was held yesterday, and Lord Mayor John Goddard officially opened the two-day fair this morning.
The annual fair dates back to 1625, when it was a simply parish festival to celebrate the feast of St Giles.
