UNIVERSITY students led the way when Oxford Brownies decided to celebrate their diamond jubilee in 1974.
Members of the Oxford University Scout and Guide Club organised a special day at St Michael’s School in Marston Road.
Six hundred Brownies joined in songs, games and sports which had the theme of a space journey.
