FOURTEEN people have been unveiled as Oxfordshire’s most hunted suspects who police want you to help find.
The mugshots and e-fits have been released by police and the Crimestoppers charity and cover a range of crimes, including sex attacks, drugs and violence.
Among them is Rohan Crooks, who police want to speak to over an attempted murder in Blackbird Leys, Oxford, almost two years ago.
Crimestoppers has set up a website – crimestoppers-uk.org – with images and CCTV footage of 60 people across the Thames Valley that police are seeking.
John Gamon, chairman of Thames Valley Crimestoppers, said: “They are people who the police haven’t managed to locate using all the normal police routes, but they have to be somewhere.
“People can go on the site and look at it and if they can identify these people or know where they are living, they can pass this information to Crimestoppers “They are pretty unpleasant people and people may well know them. They might not want to speak to the police or have a police car outside their door, but they can give all their information to Crimestoppers and their identity will never be revealed.
“It offers the public another opportunity to take a stand against crime. It not only helps locate criminals who have ‘gone to ground’, but also identifies people previously unknown to the police.”
Det Chief Insp Ray Howard, head of Thames Valley Police’s intelligence bureau, said: “Often members of the public hold crucial information that can bring serious offenders to justice.”
Oxfordshire people called Crimestoppers’ 0800 555111 number 639 times between April 2009 and March 31.
