THE Oxford Tube coach crash on the M40 would have been a terrifying experience.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident, but to have been on board a coach travelling down the motorway and toppling over despite the endeavours of the driver would have petrified the dozen passengers on board.

The driver may praise safety standards of the modern coach for avoiding serious injury. But he too more than played his part to ensure that, despite injuring his shoulder, no-one was killed and everyone emerged from the wreckage safely.
