Police today appealed for witnesses to a crash on the A34 involving six vehicles in which two drivers were injured.
At about 3.15pm on Friday, police said a yellow and black Volvo lorry, a turquoise green Honda Civic, a silver Audi A4, a blue Honda Civic, a black Honda Civic and a black BMW 320 collided on the northbound carriageway of the A34, near Chilton.
The air ambulance attended and airlifted one of the two casualties to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
A 47-year-old man, who was driving the turquoise Honda, received serious injuries to both legs and was detained in the John Radcliffe Hospital. He was due to be released over the weekend.
The 36-year- old man, who was driving the Audi A4, received minor injuries and was released from the John Radcliffe that afternoon. The drivers of the other vehicles were uninjured.
The A34 was closed northbound for about three hours while police completed their investigation.
