LAST Tuesday you featured a report on probably the last performance of Witney Queen Emma’s Morris dancers, at Minster Lovell History Festival.
It was a shame that more credit has not been attributed to the history event itself, sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund, and West Oxfordshire District Council History Fund, and others.
This was largely organised through the efforts of local enthusiast Graham Kew, as well as several others, who arranged for brilliant displays in the Manor Barn, as well as promoting a new book on the village, seen through the eyes of residents.
Inside and outside rural demonstrations in the lovely gardens of Minster Lovell Manor, were first class, and many thanks are due to all those who contributed to make the afternoon so memorable.
