Vandals have snapped eight mountain ash trees in Grove near Wantage.
Thames Valley Police officers are appealing for witnesses after the eight trees in Cane Lane were damaged.
The trees, in a field in front of Grove RFC clubhouse, were snapped and have had to be removed following the incidents.
Six of the trees were damaged between 10pm on Saturday<<Aug21>> and 8am on Sunday<<Aug22> while the other two were damaged the early hours of Tuesday<<Aug24>>. The eight trees would cost £1,200 to replace.
Graham Munday, Grove parish council clerk, said: “We are absolutely gutted because it is just mindless vandalism.”
