A MUSIC festival comes to the heart of Woodstock this weekend.
Woodstock Live features 20 artists performing in the Town Square.
Starting at noon tomorrow, the free festival will kick off with a rendition of Pink Floyd’s The Wall – to celebrate this year’s 900th anniversary of the wall being built around the Royal Park.
Other acts performing include Jay Alice, Lee & Che, Soul Funkin Good, Blue Touch and Nikki Loy. For the first time, stand-up comedy will also be introduced to the stage.
On Sunday, The Aaron Keylock Band, The Quiet Men and Cooper Black will be playing.
Organiser Chris Baylis said: “Woodstock Live gives residents and visitors alike a fantastic opportunity to hear music they might not experience otherwise, all in the beautiful setting of the town square in historic Woodstock.
“As ever, Woodstock’s community events engage children this year, never more so than at the grand opening of The Wall, which starts at midday on Saturday, celebrating 900 years of Woodstock.”
Bars and restaurants will have tables outside over dthe weekend.
Profits from the Town Square bar will go towards the cost of the festival.
