Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking after a Range Rover was found beside the A40 near Witney.
The green Range Rover was spotted by police officers at the side of the road on the A40 Witney bypass, near the Ducklington roundabout, at about 5.30am last Thursday.
The vehicle had a blown-out tyre and officers stopped to investigate. After speaking to the four occupants, they were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
Those arrested were two girls, aged 14 and 16 from Carterton, and two boys, aged 14 and 16, from Carterton and Bampton.
The car was recovered and taken to a local garage.
All four were released on police bail until September 17.
