SHOPPERS waited eagerly yesterday for the opening of the latest store to move into the extended Woolgate Shopping Centre in Witney.
Next, which has created 50 new jobs and will open seven days a week, began trading at the complex in one of three shops in the new extension.
Homewares store Cargo opened last month, while a third retailer is yet to be announced.
Rodney Hartnell, shopping centre’s manager, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Next’s sparkling new store to the Woolgate. It’s a really positive move for Witney.
“Adding recognised names such as Next will attract more people to the benefit of the town as a whole, including the independent retailers.”
