A CORNER of Bicester is getting a wash-and-brush-up in a clean-up campaign by Cherwell District Council.
The council’s cleaning team is clearing up litter, fly-tipped waste and dog fouling, and tackling graffiti.
About 1,800 households in the Southwold, Buckingham Road, Brashfield Road and Windmill Avenue areas have received leaflets asking them to report grot-spots.
George Reynolds, the council’s executive member for the environment, said: “Once we’ve carried out this blitz we would appreciate the help of residents to keep the area up to scratch.”
The council can provide all equipment, including bin bags, gloves and litter pickers, for groups who want to organise their own mini-blitz of a street, park or play area.
For more information or to report grot-spots email customer.service@cherwell-dc.gov.uk or call 01295 221940.
