The Gallery in the Town Hall is showcasing the work of 20 of Oxfordshire’s up-and-coming artists. Work covers a variety of disciplines, including graphics, illustration, photography, print and textiles.
While some of the work on show has been produced during the past two years, many are one-off pieces created for this show, which has been put together by Emma Diffey.
Emma says this is the first exhibition she has organised and finding suitable artists to take part proved a real challenge.
She gathered the artists together after advertising for young Oxfordshire artists to submit their work, making the final selection herself. She is confident that visitors will be really impressed by the high standard and variety of work for sale. Emma said: “This show will give visitors a great opportunity to place commissions, network, meet the artists and be inspired.”
Pictured above is Bleak, an atmospheric work from the 21-year-old Oxford photographer Elizabeth Johnson.
The exhibition continues until Sunday, August 29, opening from 9am to 6pm on weekdays, 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The Gallery can be found on the first floor of the Oxford Town Hall at the rear of the building.
