Volunteers are needed to help run already established Boys’ Brigade, BB, groups in Bloxham, Chipping Norton, Deddington and Kings Sutton.
The organisation, founded in 1883 and provides activities for youngsters aged five to 18, is also hoping to set up new groups in Banbury and Middleton Cheney.
Nick Westbury, Oxfordshire spokesman spokesman for the BB in Oxfordshire said ‘Recently there have been upsurge in interest in uniformed organisations and the Boys’ Brigade, Scouts, Guides and other groups are really struggling to cope.
“If we had more volunteers we could broaden our range of activities and significantly increase the number of young people involved.”
