COMPETITIONS such as Miss England are often derided as reinforcing the myth of perfect bodies to young women.
How refreshing it is that Miss Oxford, Camilla Chia, is entering despite having a prominent scar on her stomach.
She says: “It doesn’t matter what other people think about you; it’s how you feel about yourself which is the most important thing.
“If you can tell that someone is really comfortable with the way they feel about themselves that’s really attractive.”
That is very true.
There is no such thing as physical perfection. The best anyone can be is happy in their own skin.
