Police have charged two men after a 25-year-old man was assaulted in Fairacres Road, Didcot.
A disturbance involving several people broke out at 1.30am on Saturday, during which the victim, from Reading, suffered a fractured cheekbone. He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, for treatment.
Martin Rendell, 19, of The Oval, Didcot, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon - a plank of wood.
Adam Purse, 19, of Malvern Close, Didcot, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
Rendell was remanded in custody and Purse was released on bail. Both were due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court today.
