THE family of the man killed at The Oxfordshire Golf Club have paid tribute to him as the man accused of murdering him appeared in court.
Chris Varian, a 32-year-old restaurant manager, died from serious neck wounds on Saturday afternoon at the club in Milton Common, near Thame.
Jonathan Limani, a 33-year-old work colleague of Mr Varian, has appeared before Oxford magistrates charged with murder.
Limani, from Rycote Lane, Milton Common, was remanded in custody and will appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow.
A spokesman for Mr Varian's family said: "Chris was a wonderful person, everyone’s friend.
"You could not wish to find a harder and more honest worker.
"He was truly a gentle man who wouldn’t hurt a fly.
"His passing leaves a hole in this family which can never be filled or forgotten."
