EDUCATION software company RM has declined to reveal how many jobs have been lost as a result of the Government scrapping its Building Schools for the Future programme.
The company, based at Milton Park, near Didcot, confirmed it had made a “small number” of redundancies among its workforce of about 1,200 people, following a consultation period, but spokesman Rebecca Bleasdale declined to specify exact numbers.
A company statement said: “Whilst a small number of roles have been made redundant, the majority of people affected have found new roles within RM.”
The Government is reviewing 15 deals, worth £272m, which RM negotiated under the BSF scheme.
This week the company signed a £4m contract to supply IT for schools in London’s Southwark borough under the programme.
