A 25-YEAR-OLD man flashed at a family “30 to 40 times” in one day after having sex with a prostitute, a court heard.
Nicholas Farrelly, of Cherry Close, Greater Leys, Oxford, denies two counts of exposure on April 6.
A woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told jurors at Oxford Crown Court yesterday the defendant repeatedly stood naked at a window.
She said the window was covered by a sheet rather than curtains, and Farrelly could be seen by people in the street.
She said: “I looked up straight ahead of me and he pulled the sheet to the side and just stood there completely naked.
“He was directly looking at me. He just didn’t seem to be embarrassed by the fact.
“There was no emotion, no expression or anything. My children looked up and said ‘that man’s naked, mummy’.
“I just told them it’s not right and this behaviour’s not normal.”
She added: “He just repeatedly kept coming back to the window.
“He must’ve done it 30 or 40 times.”
Another woman who said she saw Farrelly in the window at about 12.30pm or 12.45pm told the court: “At one point the sheet just fell down and he was just stood there in the window.
“Just stood there naked with his left hand over his genitals.
“I thought he would back off but he moved both his hands.”
The court heard that police were called and attempted to arrest Farrelly at about 2pm but got no answer at his flat.
He was then arrested at 9.15pm after a large group of youths gathered outside the property shouting “paedo”.
In his police interview, which was read to jurors, Farrelly said he was living off benefits of £50 a week and could not afford curtains.
He said he had used Blu-Tack and nails to hang sheets in front of his windows.
He said he had gone to the Kitten Club massage parlour in Oxford that morning and paid a woman £80 for sex before returning to his flat “at about 2pm or 3pm” to listen to music and drink cider.
Farrelly said he was “probably naked” or in his boxer shorts. He added: “I’d just had sex with a woman. I was feeling quite horny still.
“I wasn’t intentionally exposing myself to anyone.
“I wasn’t conscious of the fact anybody was watching me.”
Giving evidence, he said doctors were “unclear” whether he showed signs of schizophrenia.
He added: “At the moment I’m under the impression I should be getting complex-needs therapy.”
Farrelly admitted the first woman could have seen him at his home in the morning but said he “wasn’t there at 12.45pm” when the second woman alleged she saw him.
The trial continues and is expected to conclude today.
