Thieves forced their way into a building site in Eynsham and stole copper pipes.
Some time between 1pm on Saturday and 7am on Monday, thieves entered the site in Merton Close and stripped all the copper from inside.
Det Sgt Dick White said: “I would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in this area at this time.
“I would also like to hear from any scrap metal merchants or builders who may have been offered the copper pipes for sale.”
