Police are appealing for information following the attempted theft of lead and copper from a company in Cassington yesterday.
Thieves entered a yard in Bell Lane at 3.20am and several rolls of roofing lead and copper were loaded into a stolen van.
The thieves were disturbed and left the scene empty-handed on foot.
Det Sgt Dick White said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident as soon as possible.
“Did you see anyone suspicious in the area prior to the break-in? Did anyone see the thieves on the night of the break-in after they left the scene of the crime?”
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Dick White via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
